Brian Quinn ~ September's Extraordinary Athlete
Brian Quinn ~ September's Extraordinary Athlete

September’s Extraordinary Athlete is Brian Quinn! Brian has been with us for just over two years and has already attended over 529 sessions since he began. His longest attendance streak is a legit 52 weeks straight—a full year of unbroken weekly attendance—a remarkable commitment. To top it off, he averages 5 classes per week!

A busy father of four boys- three who graduated from Jesuit and one still at Cistercian- he needs all the strength and stamina he can muster to keep track of all of them! He primarily works out at 5:30 am, but is also quite regular in some other classes and on the weekends. He also competed in our last Hyrox simulation with his friend and is already signed up for as well as the actual Hyrox competition in November.

Brian has logged a staggering 92 personal records across his time at CrossFit Odyssey, spanning a wide variety of weightlifting movements. His Personal Records include a Back Squat at 295 pounds, 10 Bench presses at 195 pounds, a Clean at 195 pounds, a Deadlift at 300 pounds, a Strict Press at 135 pounds, and 16 rounds of Cindy, among others.
A few standout moments:
- Deficit Deadlift jumped 35 lbs in a single session (08/28/2026)
- Romanian Deadlift went up 50 lbs from May to June 2026
- Deadlift crossed the 300 lb milestone in November 2025
- He PRed his Bench Press just this month on 09/04/2026

Brian is a coach's dream — elite attendance consistency, almost zero no-shows, and a relentless drive to improve across virtually every major movement pattern. In just over two years, he has gone from a new member to a true gym cornerstone. His numbers speak for themselves, and his dedication to showing up 5+ times a week, week after week—inspires any member community.
Congratulations, Brian, on your Journey to Extraordinary! You are a great example of hard work leading to success and a great example and friend to all of us!
