New gym makes fitness training fun

Essential Fitness plans grand opening in Port Ewen

Essential Fitness, which is located at 186, Broadway (Port Ewen), is now planning a huge opening ceremony on 8th November, Friday at 3.30 pm, along with a ribbon cutting ceremony by officials. Several other well known dignitaries are anticipated to attend the ceremony. General public is also welcome.

Essential Fitness owner Austin Benjamin would give free fitness training for senior citizens and children in grades kindergarten in high school in an attempt to bring fitness and health awareness to Port Ewen.

Austin is a 1998 Kingston High School graduate and he has worked with adults and children of each fitness levels that include pro athletes from teams like New York Jets and New York Giants. He stated that his target is to bring wellness to Ulster County. Services include strength and endurance training, nutritional counseling, weight loss counseling, boxing as well as other sports specific training among others.

The fitness world is flooded with gadgets stating that this helps people work harder in a record time. Still most of them did not let people know if the body is actually mentally and physically up for this. A new gadget called OmegaWave Personal is designed to track how a person’s body reacts to different kinds of exercises and training.

The device is an Electrocardiogram Sensor chest strap which utilizes a cloud service to transmit the heart wave data wirelessly to the mobile application on your smartphone or tablet.

Long-running field and track squad in need of funds

Half Steppers, a track and field team from Richmond, has a very long history of serving underprivileged children reach their aims on track as well as in life, but he has run in hard times in the recent times.
